Thiazovivin, N-benzyl-2-(pyrimidin-4-ylamino)thiazole-4-carboxamide, is a selective inhibitor of Rho-associated kinase (ROCK).
It protects human ES cells from death in the absence of ECM by regulating E-cadherin mediated cell-cell interaction. Thiazovivin, in combination with inhibitors of the TGF-beta receptor and the MEK kinases, improves reprogramming efficiency dramatically.
